Royal Ocre Velvet Cylinder

Description

This drum cylinder is made out of royal ocre velvet which we laminate by hand on a golden backing. The combination of velvet with gold gives the lampshade a luxurious feeling. A royal ocre velvet cylinder suits perfectly well in all different kinds of interiors. The velvet we use is made from synthetic fibers but gives the same distinctive soft feel as from natural fibers.

To emphasize that these lampshades are made by hand, we make them without a border ribbon. So we use the velvet fabric to ‘finish’ the lampshade.

Velvet also known as velour is a type of woven tufted fabric in which the cut threads are evenly distributed, with a short dense pile, giving it a distinctive soft feel. Please note that velvet is a very thick fabric and does not allow to transmit light. So the light is reflected on the gold backing and does not light up the lampshade itself.
