Classic Velvet Chandelier Lampshades

These classic velvet chandelier lampshades are made out of a high quality fabric which we laminate by hand on a golden backing. The combination of velvet with gold gives the lampshade, or also know as ‘pince flamme’, a luxurious feeling. Classic velvet chandelier lampshades will give your table lamp or chandelier a very nice and classy finish. The velvet we use is made from synthetic fibers which it makes easy to maintain. But also gives the same distinctive soft feel as from natural fibers. The gold laminate that we use is also fire retardant, which makes it suitable to use in hotels and public rooms. Our pince flamme’s or chandelier lampshades are equipped with a clamp which clip on the lamp. The dimensions of these chandelier lampshades are: Bottom: 13cm (5″) Top: 8cm (3.1″) Height: 10cm (3.9″)

To emphasize that these lampshades are made by hand, we make them without a border ribbon. So we use the velvet fabric to ‘finish’ the lampshade.

Velvet also known as velour is a type of woven tufted fabric in which the cut threads are evenly distributed, with a short dense pile, giving it a distinctive soft feel. Please note that velvet is a very thick fabric and does not allow to transmit light. So the light is reflected on the gold backing and does not light up the lampshade itself.
